My name is Maureen but I also answer to Jean. It’s a long story.

I love reading (especially fiction, but a bit of everything), cooking, antiques, science (especially medicine), decorating, a good debate with friends, long bubble baths, Bob Dylan and most folk music, Drambuie and milk, warm generous-hearted people, chestnut puree and cats, not in that order.

I hate animal cruelty, coffee, sport, tofu, advertising billboards in the countryside, dark chocolate, shock jocks, Sambuca, going to gyms, jazz, racial or cultural bigotry, having to get up too early, most commercial TV and radio,  violence, moths in my pantry, again not in this order.
